One man is dead after a stabbing in the Weston Road and Eglinton area. Toronto Ambulance officials confirm a person was pronounced dead at the scene Tuesday by the coroner. Police are releasing little information. Officers will only confirm that the victim is a male, possibly in his 30’s. The stabbing happened just before 1pm. There’s no word on any suspects.


Toronto Police arrested three people, including a 14-year-old girl, and seized a loaded 44-magnum handgun at a west end high school Monday. They were called out for a fight and were then told of a separate skirmish in a different location at the school, involving a knife. A total of 28 charges were laid. Cops say the loaded gun and three knives were found in a knapsack the girl was carrying. Two boys, 18 and 16, are also charged.


One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a Toronto Fire pumper truck and a car collided in the intersection of Lakeshore and Jameson. The intersection was closed for sometime while police investigated the crash. Police have not released its cause, nor if any charges have been laid.


An elderly Toronto man lost his mid-town Balliol home to a fire Tuesday. Police say the man — in his late 80’s — got out safely after flames broke out in the basement of his Bayview and Davisville-area home. But he was taken to hospital about two hours later – after an apparent heart-attack. Investigators are still looking for the cause of the blaze.  


A 17 year old girl is in a Toronto hospital with a suspected punctured lung after a stabbing in Brampton. Peel Police say the victim was in a fight Tuesday afternoon with five other girls on a sidewalk at McLaughlin and Ray Lawson Boulevard. Her injuries are non-life threating. Police have one of the suspects in custody but they’re looking for the others and any witnesses.
