Nicole Kidman And Keith Urban Tie The Knot

The star married country singer Keith Urban in a romantic and traditional dusk ceremony at a Gothic-style Catholic church in Sydney Sunday.

Throngs of paparazzi and media helicopters followed Kidman’s cream Rolls Royce limousine from her habourside mansion she once shared with former hubby Tom Cruise, across the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge to the chapel in Manly.

Kidman wore a flowing white Balenciaga gown and veil, drop pearl earrings and carried a bouquet of white roses. Urban was decked out in a black suit, white vest, black necktie and wore a white rose on his lapel. This was his first trip down the aisle.

The church bells pealed for 90 minutes after the service, which was attended by family, friends, and a list of Aussie Hollywood stars.

“We just want to thank everyone in Australia and around the world who have sent us their warm wishes,” the couple said in a brief statement released with the photo.

Kidman’s 13-year-old daughter Isabella was reportedly a bridesmaid and her 11-year-old son Connor also took a role in the ceremony. Cruise and Kidman adopted the children during their 10-year marriage.

Sunday’s nuptials were quite a contrast from Kidman’s first marriage that was held in private according to the rite of the Church of Scientology, the religion Cruise follows. The couple split in 2001.

Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts, Russell Crowe and media mogul Rupert Murdoch were among the 230 guests.

There are reports that the couple recently signed a prenuptial agreement that includes an easy out for Kidman if Urban abuses drugs or alcohol. He’s publicly admitted he had a cocaine addiction.
