Suspects Flee After Taxi Driver Stabbed

Two suspects are at large after a taxi driver was stabbed in the stomach Thursday night.

Police say around 10:30pm, the victim was driving his cab on Blake Street, near Pape and Danforth avenues, when a male walked into the middle of the street and blocked his path.

The suspect reportedly started swearing at the driver and kicking the taxi.

But when the driver got out of his taxi, the suspect and another male approached, one pulling out a knife and allegedly stabbing the victim in the stomach.

The suspects then fled on foot. And the driver was taken to hospital and treated for his injuries.

The suspects are described as:

  • Male, white, 17 – 18 years, thin build, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing baggy jeans
  • Male, white, 20 – 25 years, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, 200 lbs, shaved hair
