Santa Claus Parade Organizers Promise Better Event Next Year

If you attended the Santa Claus Parade last Sunday, you probably had a hard time keeping your kids entertained.
Organizers have promised to present a better-organized event next year and admit commercial breaks for live television coverage were what led to many of the delays.
There has been widespread criticism of the 2010 Christmas parade. Large gaps – some up to 30 minutes – between floats annoyed spectators, as did delays to allow streetcars to cross the route.
The length of the event left many families exhausted and agitated and many left before Santa Claus arrived. This year’s parade was one of the largest ever with 31 floats.
