Could a new Olive Garden be far behind?
Italian food-lovers who miss the checkered tablecloths and garlic bread of old will soon be able to indulge in nostalgia with Mother’s Pizza once again setting up shop in the province.
On its website, the Burlington-based company mentions “exciting news coming soon” and links to an email address for franchise information, but does not say when it will resume serving its popular pies.
Mother’s Pizza Parlour & Spaghetti House opened in 1980 and operated until the mid-1990s, though it still had locations in Canada as late as 2002.
Former employees and fans have been posting their memories of restaurants as far away as Saint John, N.B., on Facebook and Twitter.
