About 20 people attended a rally at city hall Saturday calling for the dismissal of Mayor Rob Ford.
“Citizens for a Democratic Toronto” are also asking for a new TTC board, after the transit commission’s long-serving general manager Gary Webster was fired this week.
Demonstrators chanted “Fire Rob Ford” and held up signs calling him “Mayor Gravy.”
One of those in attendance was a former support of Ford.
“I think the city is being run so awfully. I actually vote for Rob Ford and I’m really sorry that I did,” Bruce Hale said.
“Along with the firing of Gary Webster and contracting out of city services like garbage collection, he’s just butchering labour in this city.”
