Durham humane society takes in dogs from Port Perry home

The Humane Society of Durham Region is filled to the brim, after more than 30 new dogs arrived Monday from a home north of Port Perry.

The dogs, all small breed, are said to be mostly in good shape but were living in poor conditions. The owner is cooperating in the investigation.

These new arrivals come less than a month the Humane Society took in 32 dogs that were rescued from a puppy mill in Clarington.

All but one of those dogs have now found new homes.
