Arnold Schwarzenegger in Toronto to promote memoir ‘Total Recall’

Former California governor and action hero Arnold Schwarzenegger was in Toronto on Thursday to promote his memoir Total Recall.

He signed copies of the book at the Indigo at 55 Bloor St. W. starting at noon. But movie fans were warned that Schwarzenegger would only sign copies of the book, not memorabilia, and he would only sign books that were purchased at the Bloor Street Indigo.

Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story follows the Austrian body builder as he becomes a Hollywood star, a politician and later a scandal-plagued celebrity.

As the title suggests, the memoir paints Schwarzenegger in a rosy glow, as a man who is continually striving for success but one who has made a few mistakes.

Schwarzenegger and his wife Maria Shriver divorced last year when it was revealed that he had fathered a child with their nanny over 10 years ago.

According to reviews, Schwarzenegger glosses over the incident and is not prone to introspection.
