Boy, 14, charged in Scarborough sex assault

Toronto police have arrested and charged a 14-year-old boy after a woman was sexually assaulted in Scarborough over the weekend.
The teen allegedly threw the woman to the ground on the Highland Creek Trail, near Lawrence Avenue and McCowan Road, around 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
He then allegedly assaulted her before fleeing on foot.
The teen, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested on Sunday. He was charged with sexual assault and criminal harassment.
He appeared in court on Monday.
