More charges for alleged online harasser

Police have laid four more charges against a Toronto man who allegedly harassed women online, and they believe there could be more victims.

Two more women came forward with complaints against Gregory Alan Elliott, 52, who was charged on Tuesday.

Elliott was first arrested on Nov. 21.  At the time, police said he met a woman on Twitter and they began talking about a graphic design project. After becoming concerned with his online behaviour, the woman told Elliott to stop contacting her.

“The communication continued and the complainant began to fear for her safety.” police said in a release.

On Tuesday, Elliott was charged with three counts of criminal harassment and breach of a peace bond.

He now faces six charges, including a charge of criminal harassment and breach of a peace bond from his November arrest, none of which have been proven in court.

Elliott is expected in court on Feb. 6.
