Suspect sought after east-end shooting

A man is in critical condition after a shooting in the city’s east end on Thursday.

It happened near Danforth and Greenwood avenues around 7 p.m.

Police say the suspect left after getting into a fight with a group of men, then came back with a gun and shot one of the men in the back.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as black with a light complexion and slight facial hair, 20 years old, five-foot-six and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing black clothes.

He drove off in a black 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe with the Ontario licence plate BPBZ 292, detectives say.

He may be armed and dangerous and shouldn’t be approached. Anyone who sees him should instead call 911.
