Men arrested for dangerous driving on frozen Lake Scugog

Durham police have charged two men with dangerous driving after they were allegedly found speeding on Lake Scugog.

It happened on Saturday around 3:30 p.m., when the frozen lake packed with fishermen, snowmobiles and pedestrians.

Officers allege the two men were driving at a speed of over 100 kilometres an hour. They were also seen doing doughnuts and sliding sideways.

The Oshawa men, who have not been named, were each charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. Both were released at the scene and will later appear in court.
