Drake raps about Danzig shooting in Snoop Lion track

Drake has once again spoken out about the mass shooting last summer on Danzig Street that killed two people and injured 23 others.

The Toronto rapper added his voice to the latest single by rapper Snoop Lion (formerly Snoop Dogg) titled No Guns Allowed.

The song speaks out about the recent gun violence in both the United States and Canada.

In the song Drake describes the shooting as “one summer day that went horribly wrong,” before dedicating his rap to Shyanne Charles, 14, and Joshua Yasay, 23, who were killed during the neighbourhood block party on July 16.

This is not the first time Drake has spoken out about the shooting. Shortly after it happened the rapper tweeted his condolences to the families of the two victims.

Toronto police chief Bill Blair called the Danzig Street shooting the worst one in the city’s history.
