Man killed in East Gwillimbury crash

A man was killed and two others were injured in a single-vehicle crash in East Gwillimbury early Wednesday morning.

The rollover happened around 12:30 a.m. at Kennedy Road near Boag Road in the former village of Mount Albert.

A 31-year-old man who was the front passenger in a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier died of his injuries, York police said in a release.

The 37-year-old driver and a man, 29, sitting in the back seat were treated for minor injuries.

All three were from Jamaica and in Canada for employment purposes, police said.

Their names haven’t been disclosed, and there’s no word yet on what caused the crash.
