OPP investigate human remains found near Barrie

Provincial police are investigating after human remains were found along the Highway 400 and Highway 11 North split in Springwater Township, just north of Barrie.
The remains were discovered near Willow Creek by a fisherman Friday evening.
The canine and emergency response teams are assisting in the investigation, which police say is in its early stages.
There has been no word on the age or sex of the victim.
Police said there is no threat to public safety.
