2 teens arrested after TTC driver shot with BB gun

Two teenage boys are facing numerous charges after a TTC bus driver was shot with a BB gun.

The bus was stopped to let passengers off in the Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West area around 10 p.m. Monday when the driver allegedly saw two males approach the open doors, one pointing what appeared to be a firearm but was later determined to be a BB gun.

The suspect then shot the BB gun, which struck the driver in the arm.

On Thursday a 16-year-old boy was arrested. Subsequently a 14-year-old boy was arrested on Sunday. Police say the BB gun used in the shooting has been recovered.

There has been no word on the exact charges facing the teens but police say they are numerous.
