Durham Regional Police are on the lookout for a suspect following a series of gas thefts in Bowmanville.
Police say between May and October, six gas thefts have occurred at two Bowmanville Shell gas stations — one on Liberty Street South and the other on Waverly Road.
In each incident, the suspect — driving a black Chevrolet Cobalt with the rear licence plate removed or obstructed — pumps gas for about $50 and drives away without paying, according to police.
Police have released photos of the suspect.
He is described as white, approximately six-feet tall, heavy set with short, dark hair and is clean-shaven.
