Loblaw recalls Bella Tavola pastas because of milk not on label

Loblaw Companies Ltd. is recalling certain Bella Tavola brand pastas because they contain milk which isn’t declared on the label.

The recall affects Bella Tavola Meat Tortellini and Meat Ravioli sold nationally in 454-gram packages with a best-before date of May 8, 2014.

There has been one reported illness associated with the products, which could pose a serious health threat to people with milk allergies.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says it’s monitoring the recall.
