CityNews Rewind 2013: Community fights back after hate letter sent to autistic teen’s family

A community banded together after an anonymous letter directed at Max Begley, 13, was delivered to his grandmother’s house in Newcastle. The typed, one-page letter suggested the family “euthanize” the teen.
A bike ride was also held for Begley and his family.
The note was forwarded to the office of the Crown attorney, according to Durham police say. It’s not yet known who wrote the letter.
