Former Toronto summer camp director faces child porn charges

A former summer camp director has been charged in a child pornography investigation.

Chun Him “Louis” Wong, 25, was arrested on Feb. 7, and will appear in court on Wednesday.

Toronto police said he worked as an after-school leader at Thorncliffe Park Public School and Gateway Public School from September of 2008 to June of 2013. He also worked as a camp director at several summer camps in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) told 680News letters will be going home to parents of children at those schools, even though the program was privately run and the man was never employed by the board.

He is also affiliated with Moorelands Community Services as its database and website administrator.

Wong is accused of posting images on social networking and image hosting sites.

He faces several charges including two counts of possessing child pornography, two counts of accessing child pornography and two counts of making child pornography available.
