Wexford Collegiate teacher accused of child luring, sexual exploitation

A teacher at Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts in Toronto is accused of sexually exploiting and luring a female student.

TDSB spokesman Ryan Bird said in an email that Adam Coysh has been “sent home” without pay pending the outcome of the court case.

Coysh, 29, of Markham, has been charged with sexual exploitation and child luring involving a student who is under the age of 18.

On Monday, the school board sent a letter home to parents informing them of Coysh’s charges, and that school staff were co-operating with police in its investigation.

A meeting has been scheduled for parents in the school on Pharmacy Avenue, north of Lawrence Avenue East, at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police believe there may be more victims.

Coysh is scheduled to appear in court on July 24.
