Diwali Festival of Lights: South Asians will be celebrating Diwali, the most important holiday festival of the year that is observed by Hindus, Sikhs and Jains. One major Diwali event open to everyone will be held at the Great Punjab Plaza in Mississauga which features food, concerts and fireworks. Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. 2980 Drew Rd., Free. Ontario Craft Show: This inaugural event at the Artscape Wychwood Barns showcases over 50 craft artisans who are members of Craft Ontario (formerly Ontario Crafts Council). They’re renowned for their contemporary, high-end handmade jewelry, ceramics and textiles. Torontoberfest: This is Hogtown’s take on Oktoberfest. Sample delicious beers from Beau’s All-Natural Brewing, Black Oak Brewery and Junction Craft Brewery as well as chomp on some sausages from WVRST. Fall colours: This is the weekend parks people in the GTA are saying to see the leaves in their glorious shades of red, yellow, purple and brown.
