Toronto school special needs assistant faces sex assault charges connected to boy, 13

A 53-year-old man who worked at a Toronto school is facing sexual assault charges connected to a 13-year-old boy.
Police say that the boy was sexually assaulted between May 10 and June 5 and that he was in contact with the man since Dec. 2014.
Police have charged Martin Bartholomew, from Mississauga, with two counts of assault, one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference.
Bartholomew worked at Greenholme Junior Middle School on Jamestown Crescent in Toronto for 15 years. He was a special needs assistant.
The school sent out a letter to parents advising them of the situation on Wednesday.

Police believe there are other victims.
The accused appeared in court on Tuesday and is due back in court on July 24.
