Trending: Liberals spell ‘Canadians’ wrong on party website

It’s the one word you don’t want to misspell when trying to convince a nation that you’re indeed “ready” to lead them.

But there it was on the Liberal Party’s official website, sticking out like a sore, very red, thumb. “Canadaians.”

The unfortunate typo sat in a tarnished sentence vowing to help the middle class with a tax cut.

“Middle class Canadaians could save up to $670 per person each year, with a maximum benefit of nearly $1350 for a couple.”

But the Grits weren’t the only ones gritting their teeth in embarrassment on the long campaign trail.

The Tories have proven equally inept at spelling, tweeting out a graphic touting Prime “Minster” Stephen Harper as the winner of the first election debate.

CPC Debate tweeted out this graphic with a typo in it. TWITTER

The typo was quickly deleted and replaced with a corrected version.

The Liberals followed suit, correcting the mistake on Monday afternoon.
