Teen injured after being clipped by freight train

A teenager is in hospital after he was struck by part of a train early Friday morning.
Police said the young man and two other people were walking along the tracks over Mount Pleasant Road north of Roxborough Drive just before 3 a.m.
As the CN freight train rushed by the group, the teen when he was struck by something off the side of the vehicle.
He was rushed to a local trauma centre with, what was believed to be, life-threatening head injuries. His injuries have since been downgraded to non-life-threatening.
Police are investigating.
