A massive construction site near the CN Tower and Rogers Centre is turning some heads.
The steel framing is already in place at Roundhouse Park, which will become ground zero for NBA All-Star weekend.
While some residents in the area thought it might be new condos going up, the construction project is actually a top secret entertainment hub created by the MLSE called True North.
The venue will host music events and private parties during the NBA All-Star weekend which Toronto host from February 12 to 14.
“True North is home to the hottest private parties and events of NBA All-Star 2016,” according to a post on the NBA’s website. “True North is a custom built, ultra-VIP experience featuring world-class artists and celebrity DJ’s including Snoop Dogg as DJ Snoopadelic!”
There has been speculation that international rap superstar, and former ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’ star, Drake will perform but so far nothing has been confirmed.
