One man is dead and another is in hospital after an early morning stabbing in Vaughan.
Emergency crews were called to the scene near Highway 400 and Highway 7 around 3 a.m. Sunday.
Police said an altercation occurred between two groups of people in the parking lot at 120 Interchange Way. As a result of the altercation two men were stabbed.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A 22-year-old man from Richmond Hill sadly succumb to his injuries at the scene,” Const. Andy Pattenden said.
Police said the second man, a 22 year old from Aurora, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is expected to survive.
The Homicide Unit is investigating.
Investigators are searching the area for video footage of the incident.
Witnesses reported several people fleeing the scene at the time of the stabbing.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone that may have witnessed this incident that have yet to speak with investigators.
