Would you change your planned baby name if it became too popular?

In the now-nostalgic television series ‘Sex and the City,’ the then-childless character Charlotte York (played by Kristin Davis), has a pillow embroidered with the name of her future daughter: Shayla.
At the time, I knew no Shaylas, and the name was unique enough that while Charlotte’s outrage over name-stealing, was, well, outrageous, it was also slightly understandable.
Now, I know one Shayla, and I have one son, and every time I scan the lists of most popular baby names I pray my son’s name isn’t on it.
Years of being Erin C. (alongside Erin M., Erin P. and Aaron (boy, only one but always one, no matter where)), will do that do a person.
Luckily, my son’s name is not on the list recently issued by Today’s Parent.
The top boys’ names are, in order from most to least popular, Liam, William, Jacob, Noah, Logan, Benjamin, Nathan, Jackson/Jaxon/Jaxson, Ethan, and Thomas.

I initially questioned having both Liam and William on there, as one is merely the short form of the other, before I remembered that my son’s name is Jack-no-not-short-for-Jonathan. And no, it is not on the list by Jackson-proxy.
For girls, meanwhile, the most popular name is Emma, followed by Olivia, Sophia/Sofia, Maya/Mia/Mya, Charlotte, Chloe/Khloe, Ava, Zoe/Zoey, Emily, and Lea/Leah.
Which means my girl’s name is safe.*
*Should I have another baby, should it be a girl, etc.
Of course, Charlotte York later named her daughters Lily and Rose, so there’s lots of time to change my mind.
