Peel Paramedics says both patients are in critical condition, suffering from smoke inhalation and burns.

“I heard the firemen screaming, ‘Get a ladder! Get a ladder!’ And they grabbed a ladder, they smashed a window and they managed to pull a guy out,” witness Tom Kuryliak told CityNews.

“It looked like he had some pretty bad burns. His pants were melted to him.”

A third person was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
