Two people are fighting for their lives after they were pulled from a house fire in Brampton.
The first started around 7 p.m. Wednesday night on Thomas Street, north of Main and Queen streets.
Peel Paramedics says both patients are in critical condition, suffering from smoke inhalation and burns.
“I heard the firemen screaming, ‘Get a ladder! Get a ladder!’ And they grabbed a ladder, they smashed a window and they managed to pull a guy out,” witness Tom Kuryliak told CityNews.
“It looked like he had some pretty bad burns. His pants were melted to him.”
A third person was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The victims have not bee identified. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
