Police say a 22-year-old man is in critical condition after a single-vehicle collision early Saturday in Burlington, Ont.

Halton Regional Police say the Burlington man was driving his car south on Kerns Road at about 4 a.m., when he failed to negotiate a turn at North Service Road, driving through a guardrail.

Police say the driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and his condition is described as critical.

They say his passenger escaped the car with minor injuries.

Police continue to investigate, adding that speed and alcohol are being considered as factors in the crash.
