By News Staff

Police are searching for two men responsible for an armed robbery and attempted abduction in southern Etobicoke.

Police say at around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, a man was walking to his car in an underground parking lot at his condo in the Windermere Avenue and Queensway area of the city when he was approached and attacked by at least two men, one of whom pointed a handgun at him. They took his jacket and demanded the keys to his car before trying to forcibly shove him into the vehicle.

The man pushed the panic button on his key chain which alerted another resident of the building who was in the parking garage and he began to yell at the attackers. The two assailants then fled the scene in another car.

One of the suspects is described as black with a light complexion, in his mid-twenties, clean-shaven with sharp facial features.

The two suspects were scene leaving in a dark-gray Toyota Sienna van with Michigan licence plates.

Both suspects are believed to be armed and dangerous.

If anyone has any information they are asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
