London Mayor Matt Brown back to work after ‘inappropriate relationship’

The mayor of London says he’s back at work as of today, a week after he temporarily stepped aside after admitting he’d had a brief affair with the deputy mayor.
Matt Brown says he created a significant amount of damage in his personal life and knows he has to work very hard to regain the trust of his fellow councillors and of Londoners.
Brown says he’s taken full responsibility for what he calls a “grave error in judgment” and accepts the criticism of the community.
He adds he’s been open and honest about his mistake and the only way to regain the community’s trust is to work as hard as he can for Londoners for the duration of his term.
