Envelopes containing white powder found at Toronto City Hall

Two envelopes containing white powder were found in the loading dock of Toronto City Hall on Thursday.

Police got the call at 12:23 p.m. The person who handled the envelopes is showing no symptoms.

Hazardous materials crews are on scene. The heating and air conditioning system has been shut off. Toronto Fire captain Dave Eckerman says the response is out an abundance of caution.

There are no evacuations at this time.
