Police charge 15-year-old in series of violent retail robberies

A 15-year-old Brampton boy faces 10 charges in connection to a series of violent retail robberies.

Police say that between April 19 and April 20 of this year, the suspect rushed into retail stores, jumped on top of counters while brandishing a knife and demanded money.

Investigators added the suspect was very aggressive towards the victims, robbing them of a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

A 15-year-old, who cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing three counts of robbery with an offensive weapon, three counts of possession of a weapon, three counts of failing to comply recognizance and disguise with intent.
