A fire in the garage of an Aurora home spread to the house itself on Wednesday morning.
No one was hurt, York region acting platoon chief Rob Leathen said.
The fire began around 2 a.m. on Ames Crescent, near Wellington Street East and Bayview Avenue, in Aurora.
At its height, six trucks and 26 firefighters were battling the fire, including East Gwillimbury and Richmond Hill fire crews. The Red Cross was also called in.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office is investigating, Leathen said.
The cause of the fire and the cost of the damage are not yet known.
