Police say a nuclear gauge that went missing in Brampton was located around 7 p.m on Friday.

The gauge, which was in a yellow container, went missing from a pickup truck early Wednesday morning.

It was last seen on the truck near Dixon Road and Carlingview Drive in Toronto around 6 a.m.

After several stops in Toronto and Brampton, the gauge was found to be missing on Ebenezer Road in Brampton around 7 a.m.

Police said prolonged exposure to the gauge — which contains sealed radioactive material and is used to measure soil thickness and moisture content — can be harmful.
