Man charged in Distillery district sexual assault

A man is facing charges in connection with a sexual assault in the Distillery district.
Police responded to a call at around 5:20 p.m. on Friday near Parliament and Mill Streets. They found an 18-year-old woman who said she had been attacked and sexually assaulted.
Police say she was able to escape and identify the suspect.
28-year-old Riaz Ijaz was arrested at the scene. He is charged with sexual assault and threatening death.
