By News Staff

Peel police have issued an arrest warrant for a 23-year-old man they say was actively involved in trafficking a female victim in Mississauga.

The victim called police on Monday and told them she had been held in a hotel against her will.

Upon further investigation, police learned the suspect, Rohan Jones, had allegedly sexually assaulted the victim and was trafficking her.

Officers say Jones profited from her acts and controlled all aspects of her life.

He is wanted on numerous charges, including administering a noxious substance, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, sexual assault with a weapon, and trafficking in persons.

He is black, five-foot-nine and 175 pounds, with a medium build and brown eyes.

Police believe he is in the GTA.

They are asking any other victims or witnesses to call the Major Drugs and Vice Unit or Crime Stoppers.
