Police probe 2 stabbings in Oshawa

Police are investigating two stabbings in Oshawa on Friday night.

They said shortly before midnight, a 25-year-old man was stabbed several times at the Children’s Arena.

He made his way to a fire hall nearby and was taken to a local hospital. He was then transported to St. Mike’s Hospital in Toronto in critical condition.

He has since improved and his condition is stable.

Earlier in the evening, a 20-year-old was stabbed in a parking lot near Taunton and Ritson roads.

He was treated in hospital for a minor stab wound and released.

Police do not have any suspects in custody in either case.
