Man shot while driving in east-end

By News Staff

One man was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries after a shooting in the city’s east end.

Toronto police responded to a call at Victoria Park and Sloane avenues at around 8:45 p.m. on Monday.

A man in his 20s was shot in a car while he was driving. It’s believed he was shot in the leg. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Police say up to five suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a mini van.

Police also taped off the nearby Victoria Village Public Library but it’s not clear how that scene is connected to the shooting.
