Woman critically injured in Dundas hit-and-run has died

A woman critically injured in a hit-and-run last week has died of her injuries.
Police say the 45-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was found on Dundas Street East near Sherbourne early Tuesday morning.
Investigators say that for reasons they have yet to determine, the woman stepped onto the street and lay down on the roadway.
A light-coloured minivan travelling eastbound on Dundas managed to avoid hitting the woman but a dark-coloured SUV, also going eastbound, ended up striking her.
A witness told 680 NEWS the woman tried to get up before the SUV hit her but police have not confirmed those details.
Police are appealing for the drivers of both vehicles to contact them, adding they may have been unaware that a woman had been struck.
Officers have also released security video and are asking anyone who recognizes the SUV, or who was in the area at the time, to come forward.
The incident happened at the same intersection where a 73-year-old man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle two weeks ago. A 49-year-old man was also hit but survived. In that case, the driver has been charged with multiple offences including driving without a licence.
