A police officer with Peel Regional Police is facing criminal charges, including domestic assault, forcible confinement and mischief over $5,000.
Const. Rajvir Ghuman was suspended with pay as per the provisions of the Ontario Police Services Act, Peel police said in a statement.
Ghuman was scheduled to appear in a Brampton court on Monday.
