Man, 22, dies after Pickering crash

A 22-year-old man has died after a crash in Pickering early Friday morning.
Around 6:30 a.m., a Mazda 3 was going east on Kingston Road, when it collided with an Acura TL headed south at Rougemount Drive, Durham police said.
The Mazda driver was trapped in his car, and emergency workers freed him and took him to the Centenary site of the Scarborough and Rouge Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He was later taken to St. Michael’s Hospital and remained in critical condition. The 69-year-old Acura driver was treated for minor injuries at Centenary hospital.
On Tuesday, Durham police announced the Mazda driver had died. They did not release his name.
There’s no word on charges.
