Police have released photos of a man they believe stole a large, expensive crystal from a jeweler in Yorkville last month.
On Aug. 12, police learned someone had stolen a large crystal, worth $9,000, from a display at Louro and Sons Jewellers on Avenue Road, north of Bloor Street West.
It was part of a promotional diamond ring display.
It’s alleged the thief forcibly removed the crystal using tools he had brought with him and then walked away with it.
He was last seen walking north on Avenue Road around 1 a.m. that day.
He’s described as having a medium build, and was wearing dark pants, a light-coloured hoodie, and dark shoes with light-coloured soles.
