Pedestrian struck and killed by GO train in Innisfil

A 20-year-old Innisfil man was struck and killed by a GO Train during the Friday morning rush hour, South Simcoe police say.
It happened south of Innisfil Beach Road at around 7:16 a.m.
A coroner’s investigation determined the southbound train struck and killed the man while he was on the railway tracks.
Police say the incident is not considered suspicious and no charges will be laid.
Train service in the area resumed after a delay of two hours.
