3 arrested after violent robberies targeting home massage parlours

Three men in their 20s have been arrested after a series of violent robberies targeting homes that operated as massage parlours.

On Sept. 4, just before 3 a.m., police were called to the Danforth Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue area after two men allegedly forced their way into a home.

It was reported that the men forced a woman down to the ground and ransacked her apartment. Police said she was assaulted during the robbery.

The men allegedly fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money.

Then on Oct. 7, 2017, around 4:30 a.m., police were called about a robbery in the Dundas Street West and Bathurst Street area.

It’s alleged that three men went into a multi-unit home armed with handguns and demanded money from the women inside.

Police said one of the men assaulted a woman by choking her. She was then allegedly sexually assaulted.

The men then fled the area with money and personal belongings

Later that same day, Jonathan Anderson, 22, of Oshawa; Param Budhwar, 25, of Oshawa; and Cordel Mingo Adams, 25, of Pickering, were arrested. They are each facing several charges including robbery with a firearm and possession of property obtained by crime.

Adams is also facing a charge of sexual assault.
