Female killed in Hamilton shooting

Homicide is investigating after a female was killed in an early morning shooting in Hamilton.
Emergency crews were called to Barton Street East, near Lotteridge Street, around 3:40 a.m. on Monday.
The victim was rushed to hospital without vital signs where she later died, police said.
Police said it’s believed this was a targeted shooting.
No suspect description has been released.
This is the seventh homicide of the year in Hamilton.
