Man seriously injured in downtown stabbing

A man in his 50s is in serious condition after a stabbing downtown on Tuesday night.
It happened shortly before 10 p.m. at Yonge and Carlton streets.
The man was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told police the suspect is a heavyset black man in his mid-40s, five-foot-five, with a moustache. He was wearing black clothes.
He was last seen headed east on Carlton.
