Toronto police are searching for a man who, they say, made a fake gun call downtown last week.
Last Thursday afternoon, King Street was shut down for several hours after police got a call about a man with a gun who had forced someone into a pot dispensary on King near Blue Jays Way.
Police treated the incident as real and followed emergency protocol, but after entering the building and they found no one with a gun.
Investigators believe the man they are looking for called in the fake tip from a payphone near Spadina Avenue and Cecil Street.
Police released security camera images of the man on Monday. Click here to see more photos.
