Teen wanted in stabbing death of man in Weston

Police issued a Canada-wide arrest warrant on Friday for an 18-year-old in connection with the fatal stabbing of an Angus, Ont., man in Toronto.

David Blacquiere, 54, was stabbed in the chest a number of times near Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He later died at Sunnybrook hospital

At a news conference on Saturday, Det. Rob North of the Toronto police homicide squad, said the victim and the suspect had driven together into the parking lot at 1995 Weston Rd. and got into a verbal fight just before the stabbing.

The suspect is Christopher Enrique Gordon, also known as “Mikey” and “Lefty,” and is known to police. He’s from Barrie, and was staying in Toronto at the time of the murder.

He is six-foot-four, 150 pounds, with a slender build and black hair in braids.

Officers are also looking for Demetrius McFarquhar, 24, who allegedly helped Gordon escape from the crime scene and from a building at 2222 Weston Rd., where Gordon was last seen.

McFarquhar is wanted for accessory after the fact to murder and attempting to obstruct justice.

North said detectives would also like to speak with a man who interacted with Gordon at the murder scene, as well as anyone who was in or near the parking lot at the time.
